Aaaaaaarrrgh. I was planning on starting a project for my biology class today involving an oxidation theory of aging in fruit flies. I created four vials filled with a peroxide/water solution and was ready to move on to the flies---

---but then I realized that I didn't have one of the main chemicals needed for the project: Triethylamine, aka "fly nap". There is no way I can get the billions of flies out of their vial without exposing them to Triethylamine and knocking them out for a few minutes. I obviously just can't open the vial 'cause they'll all swarm out and my house will be overtaken. But dangit. I'm running out of time to get this project completed; it'll take fifteen days, and I only have until May 12th to get it done, followed by an analysis paper and a poster. I was so sure that my teacher had stuffed the chemical in that box with the fifteen other objects he managed to fit in there, but nooooooooo. *sighs*

Well. Whatever. I'm going to try not to think about the problem for the rest of the weekend because I can't do anything about it until Monday. Instead, I'm going to enjoy the birthday party that I'm goin' to in half an hour. It's been a looooong time since I celebrated a friend's birthday, so I'm looking forward to it. And tomorrow a small group of us are making our own video rendition of a scene from "Romeo and Juliet" for another class. I get to do the video editing and make it all schnazzy once we're done, so I'm very happy about that. <333
