Ahhh, I only have nine days of school left! I'm pumped for my much-needed summer break, but I'm also somewhat dreading it because I start volunteering at the local kennel, and I've never really had a place (besides home and school) that I'm expected to visit everyday. No job. Nothing. So it's kind of a frightening prospect. I'm still super excited for it, too, though!
Here's a question for anyone that's volunteered before: should I go in next week and tell the woman that I'll be ready to start within a week, or wait until I'm out so that I can start as soon as she wants me to?
^___^ Anyhoo, despite what my gallery may seem to say, I
have been drawing lately. I just... don't seem to like a single thing and scrap it all because most of it's gifts and trades and I don't want to do a poor job on 'em. So things are just going slowly. Trades have first priority right now, though, because Mel has been waiting for hers for much too long (I'M SO FREAKING SORRY. *grovels* ) and Uni gave me her half of a sketch trade... that.......... pfft, my half will now be a full trade since she's waited way too long, too. I just fail so hard at getting art out. As soon as I'm done with these trades and gifts, I'm going to be sure I don't take on anything without being sure I can get it done within a
reasonable amount of time. Sheesh.
Now I'm off to start writing a short story for my Gothic Lit. class. *groans* I spent weeks trying to think of a plot, and now that I have one, I'm just... pfft. Ohhh welllll. Gotta crank something out.

See, what's what I was considering at first. Thing is, though, my mom reminded me of the fact that I'm volunteering. The woman isn't paying me; I'm just helping her out. So I can start when I feel like it and she probably won't mind. I... think I'm going to take the first week of my summer vacation and be lazy, and then go in.
Now watch me regret doing that later. >_>
